RUSSIAN WOMEN
IN ARBITRATION
an initiative aimed to promote equality and women leadership in international arbitration
ABOUT rwa
In 2019, Russian Women in Arbitration (RWA) was established by Elena Burova, Veronica Burachevskaya, and Tuyana Molokhoeva to build a community of Russian-speaking female arbitration practitioners.
The purposes of RWA are:
to serve as a networking platform for women involved in international arbitration and related spheres in Russia and abroad
to discuss challenges that female arbitration practitioners face in Russia and beyond
to organize conferences, seminars, business breakfasts and other arbitration-related events for female practitioners
to raise public awareness about diversity and equality in international arbitration in Russia
to share professional experience and discuss current arbitration-related issues
to spread knowledge among young practitioners and students
To learn more about the history, values and the mission of RWA, read an interview with the founders of RWA published in Modern Arbitration: LIVE News Journal and an interview of RWA Steering Committee to The Nest, an independent media platform.
Annual Report 2023
In the report, we introduce you to those behind RWA projects and guide you through all the projects and events we had in 2023. In total, we held 20 invitation-only and public events aimed at strengthening a community of professionals passionate about dispute resolution and sharing our values.
